On August 17 (Thur.), 2017, the “12th Governing Council Meeting” of the Asian River Restoration Network (ARRN) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Following Prof. Suk-Hwan JANG (ARRN Chairperson)’s greetings, each National RRN’s 2017 activities in Korea, China and Japan were reported.
In the discussion and decision chaired by Mr. Kenji KANAO (new ARRN Chairperson), ARRN’s future activities in 2018 and further expansion of the ARRN members were discussed based on the ARRN charter.
In this meeting, new ARRN chairperson and new ARRN secretary general was elected and appointed respectively. The transfer ceremony of the ARRN secretariat from KRRN(Korea) to JRRN(Japan) was also performed successively.
